Hello,

i have an HP-UX11i server where i need to be able to make the £ work. How does one go about doing this?

On Solaris i just put the entry in /etc/TIMEZONE and all is ok.

neither ' set_parms timezone ' or create file /etc/default/tz and put your timezone in the 'tz' file. I think this is what you're looking for.

Hello,

my timezone is set ok, its just a case of being able to make the £ sign work when i telnet into the box.

may be worth having a look at the man page for locale and charmap
