Local T1 and LD T1 Setup

We are changing carriers, and now have 2 T1s for outbound instead of just the one. Here is what I would like to do, just not sure how to do it.

First the facts:
All trunks/lines from Local T1 are in Pool 70
All trunks/lines from LD T1 are in Pool 892 & 891
There are 2 Merlin Legends connected with a Point 2 Point T1. P2P trunks are all in Pool 890.

We need to have this setup so that 911, 411, area code 847, and all toll frees go out over the Local T1. All other outbound calling should go out over the LD T1. How would I go about setting this up?

Additional bonus would be that if P2P was down, LD could go out on Local T1, but not necessary.

Well, there's a bit to do. For starters, you have to build your ARS Tables. Set the local table to use pool 70 and overflow to the LD pools if needed and vice versa for the LD Table.

P2P T1's and LD T1's are seperate beasts. Your LD is for your LD outbound. YOu're P2P is for connecting the offices. If your P2P go's down, you just won't be able to connect office to office. Maybe you worded that wrong??

Sorry, didn't explain fully. Office 1 has the Local T1 and Office 2 has the LD T1.

So at Office 2 you build your ARS tables to route local calls through the pool that contains the P2P TIE lines, remembering to add a 9 for for the dial out code. Their Long Distance calls route through the LD T1 that is on site.

Office 1's local goes out through the on site "local" T1, and LD points to the P2P T1, again adding 9 for dial out.

At BOTH offices, you need at least 1 local line for the 911 calls, so that the Fire Dept comes to the right place in the event of an emergency.

Download the network reference from the Avaya support site and read up how it is done. Not too hard, just need to get the concepts together.
