Hello,

I'm trying to redirect the folder: \Documents and Setting\username\Local Settings\Application Datain order to redirect the mails &/or local settings on a secondary data disk.

Using the group policy, it seems to be not applicable.

Please let me know an alternative solution.

Thanks.

It should work fine with Group Policy...what problems are you experiencing? Describe how you set it up...

Using Outlook express, all the mails are stored in \Documents and Setting\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\..ID...\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Using the group policy it is possible to redirect the folder \Documents and Setting\username\Application Data
that's different from the one in which the mails are stored.

Absolutely. In your GPO, go to User Configuration, Windows Settings, Folder Redirection. Right click Application Data and choose Properties. In there, you'll be able to choose the type of redirection. Once you do that, you'll need to apply this to specific security groups with their directory locations. Post back if you have problems...

Also You can try:

Right clicking the my documents folder and choose properties then enter the network path where you want the my documents moved to.
