I was in the middle of working on a project for a client on a tight deadline when I had this error come up. I can't seem to find anything via search and am in quite a bind right now...

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 (part of the CS2 package).

Mac OSX 10.4.11

I didn't update or change anything from the last working state.

I needed to replace a downloadable file on the client's website. For some reason my local root folder won't open. Aside from not opening, whenever I click on it, it re-sets my entire desktop. By re-set I mean the screen flashes black and all of the icons re-load.

I tried moving the folder and renaming it. I also tried re-downloading all of the files from the server into a new folder. I made sure to update the root folder location each time in Dreamweaver. None of that worked.

I opened the Console and the error that's showing when I try to open it is:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'IAException'

Any help is much appreciated since I'm stuck until I can find a fix.

I can see this ones been here a while with no answer so maybe this is better than nothing? The issue could be in relation to another piece of software that's installed. Your error message gets a direct mention.

Read your way down the thread and see if anything jumps out at you. Apologies if it doesn't get you anywhere or you've already been here.
