I am running SCO 3.2V5.0.2. This box has an Okidata local printer that says "printer is busy" when you try to print to it. The last thing I did was cancel a print job before I got this message. I have tried lpshut, lpsched, lpd stop, lpd start, etc., but can't clear the printer. When I do a lpstat -t it says that it is accepting request. Any suggestions?

This is a local printer, right? Not lpd?

Go to the /usr/spool/lp/temp directory and remove any 0* and 1* files.

/usr/lib/lpshut and /usr/lib/lpsched as before

There is nothing in the /usr/spool/lp/temp directory.

Any extraneous process using the phyical port? ( fuser /dev/lp0 or whatever) Tony Lawrence
