We have a Windows 2000 server that runs AD and is the DC. We set the logon banner message up in group policy so all the users on win 2k pro and some XP would have to click ok on the logon banner before getting to the logon.
That works fine, but somehow now certain PC's, (and not all) will not allow a domain user to log in. When they do they get the message.
"Local Policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively."
We can't find any reason for this and it is not consistent across the domain. Our temporary work around until we can get it fixed, is we added the users locally with Adm rights so they could log in on the PC's that were causing this.
Has anyone seen this and did you find a fix?
Thanks in advance.
Brian
