I am in the process of migrating 110 users from old PCs running Windows 95 to Windows NT Terminal Server SP6a Citrix 1.8 SP3. There are using some nasty old DOS applications, which will no doubt cause me, all sorts of grief. However they have several bespoke applications, which require a modem on the local PC. Therefore is it possible to run the application that requires the modem from a TS but have it utilising the modem on the local PC
 
It should be - you should be able to map the local com port with a net use statement, and, as long as the modem driver is on the Citrix server, it should work.

I don't envy you. I had a similar situation a couple of years ago. I won't dishearten you by saying how long it took to figure out without the above information...

As ever, configure it on your test server first ;-)
