Local install help

Hi All

Need a little help on getting a local install wokring correctly. When I ran a local install on my laptop, all seemed fine until I disconnected from my network to try it. As you can imagine...errors-a-plenty. First one being the BDE Share (which is usually on my server only) and then of course the usual DBase file errors. I gues what I need is a breakdown of the local install steps for someone who needs to be able to use his laptop and GM off-line and then plug back in and synch-up. Actually, the synchronizing is the least of my worries...I really just want to be able to run it stand-alone, with a copy of my database and upload any changes when needed.

Any help would be appreciated.

that is basically what I do. Take the machine off of the network. Also too, depending on the build of GoldMine that you have, you can have GoldSync create a one button install. then you would copy the file over, diconnect then install.
