I'm not extremely experienced with dreamweaver, but I'm using it to make active desktops. I want to know how to make a link that will execute a file, without the "open or download" option popping up. I know I can make a normal desktop shortcut, but I was just wondering if it's possible to do this using dreamweaver. Thanks! :)

What will execute is totally dependent upon the file associations of the computer that is browsing the page. This protects people from having viruses run on their computer without their knowledge. Imagine if someone could run an exe file without the user knowing anything about it. Not very safe. So unless you are using web-enabled Java applets or something like that the answer would be no.
