using Citrix 4.5 presentation server. Our network logon script maps the following drives:
G=
U=
W=

Problem is that when i logon via citrix it assigns:
V=My client computers's C Drive
U=My client computers's D Drive (CD ROM) 0- Here the problem occurs coz U is supposed to be the network drive mapped via logon script.

How can i take care of this issue that the local CD Rom be mapped with a different drive letter and not U

can you change the clients local CDROM drive so its another letter before the client connects to the citrix servers. (like locally setting the CDROM as e:\ or Z:\)

The V: and U: mappings are created by design, and we have not run into this issue because our citrix servers have their local drivers remapped to M:\ and N:\ respectivly, hence the clients get C:\ and D:\ for local drives.

hope this helps

Hi
Presentation Server as you know by default starts to map client drives at the letter V: and then goes backward through the alphabet U:, T: and so on.
You can change the letter where Presentation Server starts mapping client drives by adding a registry value called InitialClientDrive.
Please read this Citrix document:

You will find instructions on how to change this somewhere in the middle of the page.
Best regards
