Hi

We have a local disk on our windows 2003 server (Y:\ Drive) that as run out od disk space and it is not letting me into it so I can free space up on it. I just get it Y:\is not accessible not enough space on the disk drive.

Does anyone know of a way to access the drive at all, We tried DOS and also mapping form another computer but cannot access it.

Any ideas please

Thanks

Shut server OFF. Put hard drive in another computer or use something like BartPE or Ultimate Boot CD for Windows to boot up. Then you will be able to manipulate (delete/move) files on the drive. Suggest you connect a USB external hard drive or memory stick to the server BEFORE you boot up so that it will visible/available to transfer files to. BartPE for sure doesn't allow plug and play once booted, so it has to be attached while BartPE is booting.

Windows server 2003 is just XP under the skin, so you can treat it as you would XP for the most part.
