Hi,

I'm currently running a small network with 2 computers using a linksys router. Now and then I get the error message at the bottom right hand saying, "local area connection" is unplugged, I was wondering what causes this and if there is a solution? Both pc's have windows xp pro with sp1 installed.

Thank you

Three things to check;

The physical cable, loose etc.
The advanced NIC settings (link speed and duplex)
Is the Linksys power cycling? Power cable loose?

Are you powering down one of the machines when it happens?
