Go to the Control Panel, click Network Connections. Right Click "Local Area Connection 2", and press Disable.

A new thing under SP2 if you have a 10/100mb lan computer connection connecting to a 10mb device you will get the limited or no connection thing. If you are not useing the local lan follow DargonQ advice if you are useing the local lan right Click My NetWork Place goto properties, Right click Local Area Connection2 goto properties, remove the check from the box "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivty".

Thank you dragon. - - All seems ok now.
Thank you allteltec, - - I followed your instruction and unticked that box and I don't get the reminder now and no icon shows up.

Any type of networking problem in XP SP2 will give you this “Limited or No Connectivity” message, so you may have any one of these causes of the problem"
