I would like to configure some analog lines on a BCM in office "A" to ring on a BCM in office "B." Is there a way of doing this? I know there's certainly a way of doing this with DID's. One condition though, forwarding from phone in office "A" is not an option, it needs to be seamless...

BCM "A" & "B" are of 3.0 software level, and are connected with VPN.
I have heard of an FXO gateway at both ends, but don't know too much about them...

call forward at the telco would be most seamless, I do this at lots of my locations.

or you could have a ccr tree with the only node be an exteral transfer to site b, this wont be completely seamless though, the call would hear hold music or whatever you have on hold for a second while he call transfers.

That's what I thought. No way of accomplishing this without the Telco involved.
Having the AA/CCR Tree is not an option either though.
So that brings me to the other option...FXO Gateways...Does anybody know anything about these? If so, would they be helpful in this scenario?

If you use a AA with recorded silince and ccr transfer node should be able to transfer to site b accross the VPN so the caller hears "one monent please" and the call starts ringing at site b

You can also use Line Redirect from system A to system B.

I really appreciate the input fellas, however neither of these solutions would work for this Customer. They do not want to have to pay for any calls going to the other site i.e. toll costs, nor do they want to give callers the impression they are calling a different office. I did like SRC1's response, though I can't use that here I can probably use that solution at another Customer of mine. Anyhow, appreciate all the feed back...

You should be able to use line redirect in system A. Just redirect the inbound line useing F84 to go out through the VPN to site B. You might need to build another route in system A and mark it as public.

hawks, you're the kind of genious who thinks what others don't think about
