Hi all,
I'm bench configuring my first 9608 phone and am stumped by local config. During initial boot when it says "Press * to program" - I press * and it asks for a code. Any code I enter causes it to reboot. So I let it boot via DHCP. It booted fine, got updated firmware - all looks normal and phone works on R7 500V2. Once the phone is happy, I restart and again try * to manually config. No joy. I set 46XXsettings.txt to allow local config (SET PROCSTAT 0 and SET PROCPSWD 9999). No joy. What am I missing?
Thanks.
Mike

Did you try CRAFT (27238) as a code?

ACSS (SME)

I never touched anything...

Well, I now have joy. I apparently didn't let the phone reboot again with the 46XXsettings file. My 9999 works like a champ. Thanks!
Mike

One more question on this same subject line... MUTE N # (ie Mute 2337#) does not allow phone to break into local config for address. Any suggestion?
Mike

OR MUTE 9999 # when you've changed "SET PROCPSWD" to 9999. A STAR for your very helpful hints. Thanks!
Mike

The 96xx series handles those 46xx commands differently as you have found.
