Local Admin Account

Mixed network of Server 2000 and 2003. 1 by 1 the "PDC" and all the "BDC's" have lost the ability to login with the administrator account. The error states that it is due to a local policy. As long as they were logged in with the administrator account, they were ok, but once a patch required a reboot, the error appeared. My none "DC" servers still login with the Administrator account with no problem. I wondered if this could be a patch issue since we stagger patches across servers, some kind of Active Directory corruption, or something I can't imagine. The event log shows event ID 534 when the Administrator tries to login.

Once a server becomes a DC all local accounts wiped out. You can only logon with a domain account.

The administrator account is a member of the domain.

Sorry - The error is where I guess the "local" part really comes into play.
