Hi,
I have a samba setup using local user accounts.
I now wish to change the unix account setup so all accounts are NIS accounts. The NIS accounts have a samba setup for the home directories but under different account names hosted on a different server.
I need to keep the local samba setup as it provides a VSS database that cannot be moved.
Can I assume that if I create the new account names on the local machine then that is all that would be required to allow for both samba shares to be accessed. One local, one remote.
Apologies for the confusion, but think how I feel...
This is all rather new to me, as you can guess.
Thanks
Alan
