hi folks,

might be that this question is a little newbie-like but anyway...

if i load a movie into level 1 of my main movie and i put something in the second layer in my main movie, will the object in layer 2 appear above the movie loaded in level 1?

i.e. do the the levels refer to the (so to say) level of a layer in a movie?

i hope i was able to make clear what i mean. :)

thanks in advance regards

the main movie, _root or _level0, whatever you want to call it, contains all the layers in the timeline, so if you attach some new movieclip or load a new movieclip, they will come on top of all layers.

so, if you have a circle on layer 2 of your timeline and in a frame of layer 1 of your timeline you have an action like _root.attachMovie("square","sq1",2) you'll see the square on top of the circle.

meaning: all the graphics in the layers of the main timeline are on _level0, so anything you put on an upper level will come on top of them.
