I know the simple answer to this question, is use a database with my website, but I don't know how to do that...so here is my problem

I have different prices for different items that appear all over my web site, is it possible to have an html page load a variable from another html or txt file when needed?

Example:
I have a html/txt page with all the prices on it.

Another page just mentions "Item 1" in passing and I'd like the price to appear next to it.

Is this possible?

I mainly use Dreamweaver for my site.

Thank you for any suggestions.

What type of scripting language are you familiar with? vbscript or javascript.

It is possible with either. Assign the prices individually to variables with an assignment statement (example: myPrice1 = $21.99) and then pass the value to the other page.
