First, I want to know how to trim the loading speed aside from what i have read on the faqs regarding tweening over multiple frames, etc. I have a rather minimal splash which i am trying to keep from pausing. I also wondered if I ought to take the splash and embed it as a film clip, but i am not sure this helps.

Another and rather facile question (but it has been a year since i touched flash), in making an action for a button, i recall i didn't have to put the whole url in the 'get url' command. is there a shorter way of just putting the file name?

thanks again for all your help here!

regards,

julian

I still cannot figure out out to load other pages in my site without going through the http:// business...isn't there an easier way to this? i read somewhere about loadmovie, but i cannot figure this out. i remember using flash a year ago and avoiding putting in all the http prefixes and just putting in the page. also, do i have the make the mouse a mouse event or as flash claims, does flash do this on its own? thanks again
