hi
Im working with a very long narration voice, once compress, it still to heavy for low band user.
Anyone know how to load content while seeing first part
or load content in external file (mp3)
thank for help

Why not break the sound into more palatable portions, make each of them a separate SWF, and download them one after another? Provided the sections download faster than they are required you shouldn't hear a break. To get them downloading one after another, just put an action in the preloader of each SWF saying that when _framesLoaded == _totalFrames, start downloading the next sound SWF into another level.

Does that work ?
I thougt that an mp3 (embedded in a .swf or not)
doesn't really load, but act as a stream.
I have a 7 Meg swf file that loads after the website is loaded and it begins almost immediately.
But users with even ISDN get a cracked sound (the quality is set very high (44100), maybe it would work with 11000) It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious.

2 problems with "streaming" sound:

1. It may not actually start streaming until AFTER it was supposed to (i.e. you can't control exactly when it starts)

2. It may be subject to pauses as it plays a section whilst downloading the next bit, especially on lower bandwidths.

Streaming sound is all well and good in theory, but if you want complete control over your sound it should be downloaded first.

Yeah, I see what you mean, but i didn't had the intention to have streaming sound. All i did was a movie with an mp3 in it (with generator), and when a visitor clicks a button, the swf is loaded and starts to play.
And then i discovered that the movieclip acted as a stream.
But i don't know if the entire mp3 will actually be loaded when you put it on the second frame and hold the movie on the first ... (?) It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious.
