Hello all, I have a question.

I have installed a new Windows XP Pro PC on my Windows 2000 network.

I have joined it to the domain.. all that went ok. After rebooting after joining it comes to the logon screen.

I type my user name and password along with selecting the proper domain.

After that is stays on "loading personal settings" for about 20 minutes.

This happens on no other PC. Any suggestions?

You have to point the station dns to your w2k server

Hi

When the pc i showing "loading personal settings" at that time place cntrl+alt+delete again.
If still ur problem is not getting resolved than login with administrative rights locally and delete the profile which is giving the problem and try to login again.
If ur are still facing problem remove the machine from the domain and reconnect it again

Good luck
