Loading Oracle 8i release 2

We have Solaris 2.6 on a Sun 420 server. Can we load our Oracle 8i release 2 on this Solaris Platform???

I believe you will be OK, but your best bet is to go to Metalink and check Oracle's certification matrices.

hey,

8.1.6 will work on 2.6 provided the prereqs are met (packages, patches, etc.). these are well documented in the installation guide.
