Hi all.

I'm creating a desktop application in Flash 5 (think of it as a flash movie used as wallpaper). In Flash 4.0, I was able to create a button which would load an external program such as Dreamweaver, using a simple getURL command (I think). In Flash 5, however, doing the same thing causes the user's browser to load and begin a "download this file" request, instead of executing the program.

Does anyone know of a way to load an external program by clicking a button in Flash?

Thanks for any help.

Have a look at this thread: thread250-38864
Supra describes the use of FS Command which is what I think you should be using!
