loaded sms2 now sql7 will not start

I loaded sms 2.o now sql 7 will not start it comes up with a bunch of DLL.s that are missing. I also can not start sms 2.0. also tried to upgrade to sp4 but found that I needed sp2 first tried sp2 but it want to create a disk image of sp1 I do not have sp1. do I have to have it? any ideas where I can get it?
