I'm getting an errror: Run-time error: 2114: Microsoft Access doesn't support the format of the file Path to File so it can't load the picture.

Through code I can open a jpg file stored in a Pictures folder on the server. I copied this code and added a Formulas folder on the server. I created jpg files in the Formulas folder, however on certain machines I cannot access the images--I get the 2114 error. On other machines the application is working correctly--I can view images in both folders. On the machines that are giving me the run time errors, I can double click on a jpg file in the Formulas folder, and it opens with Microsoft Photo Editor.

I even tried copying the files that I could view correctly from the Pictures folder to the Formulas folder, and they displayed correctly on the machines that were giving me the run time error.

Is there a machine limitation--why this problem is only occuring on select machines? Have these jpg files not been saved correctly? The only property on the files checked is archived.

Thanks!

Susan

It looks like different machines are using different defaults (or even viewers) to try & open the graphics. In the ones that give you the error, it would seem that you have the literal "path to file" where the filename belongs, and it will not open because there is no extension (.jpg) on it. Just a guess....
