Hi im using exchange 2003 and msoutlook as client. for our company every start of the year we will have to send email and annouce the list of holidays or list of days to take note. some users have no time to mark their calendar. I am wondering if there is a way to publish a list of schedules to all users calendars.

That's a valid way of doing it (outlook.hol) although once you have edited your hol file, you then need to email it to everyone who then needs to save it to a particular place, overwrite the existing file then tell Outlook to update itself with the contents of that file.

Given that users need to do it, possibly a series of meeting requests of "Office Closed", "Company Christmas Party" and so on might be a simpler bet plus you get to see them in the calendar with status of "Busy" rather than "Free".

or push it out with a startup/login script.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

I'd be interested if you've got that script Pat - I don't know how to add the holidays from a .hol file into Outlook programmatically.

The copying of the file would be easy:
copy \\server\centralshare\newholidays.hol c:\%username%\whatever\outlook.hol /y

What about the Outlook bit?
