Hi,

Just after some information regarding the Citrix load balancing feature in Presentation Server 4.

To load balance an application, does this require a common authentication method e.g. Active Directory or is it possible to perform application load balancing with local users authentication???

Thanks

Provided you have

The application installed on 2 or more servers.
The application published to the same user/s and NTFS permissions correct on the c:\program files\"application"

Then authentication doesnt matter, you can use local user or domain users...

Naturally using local users on both servers, the username and passwords would need to be the same, and lets not forget the 'slower' end users who might get confused with the domain changing example :- SERVER1, SERVER2, or DOMAIN.LOCAL

hope this helps?
