Hi
We are testing a Citrix/Thinstation solution for our workplace. A diskless workstation boots via PXE and downloads the linux OS and the thinstation configuration file telling it which server to connect to via an ICA connection. We are not using program neighbourhood on the client and we have a published desktop only.
We would like to setup a second server in our farm and check out load balancing.
From what I have read elswhere on the web it seems that the only way to do this is to set up a Linux Virtual Server as a sort of halfway house. The client connects to this LVS which has software on it which takes care of the load balancing.
Does anyone know of another way of doing it which does not involve another piece of kit which would be a potential fail point.
Thanks
