We have two Citrix Servers that are load-balanced. All is fine unless we need to take a server "off-line" to fix it. If I disable logons the load balancing software will still try to get users to connect to it.

What else do I need to do to ensure every one gets logged onto the remaining server ?

Thank you in advance

That is odd - disabling logon to a particular Citrix server, load-balanced or not, should "do what it says on the tin". You are disabling new logins using Citrix Server Administrator, aren't you? (assuming Metaframe 1.x).

If this is not working (and I've never seen it not work), you could try one of these 2 solutions;

1) Remove the user group(s) temporarily from all published apps. This could be awkward if you have a lot of user groups and a lot of published apps. However, if you completely disable logins to a Citrix server, that will include admins, so this is probably the best solution.

2) Remove the server temporarily in Published Application Manager, so that users cannot be directed to published apps, then re-create the one(s) to be tested using a different name.

3) Adjust the permissions using Citrix Connection Configuration, choosing Security. Remove the user groups here.

I hope this helps
