I am trying to change a display name in LD 95 and after I out and then insert the new name before entering last name when I space it keeps going back to type, can anyone give me an explanation on this or walk me through an other way to change names in say LD 20, I do not know the steps, please and Thank you!
 
Once you out the name, you have to put , to separate the name and family name

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...
 
Interesting, never needed to use a , between first and last name on any switch I can think of. Just tried this and used a space between first and last and it worked fine. Maybe a terminal emulation problem?
 
It depends on release. I have some systems where you just enter first last and it works. The problems is as follows:

Old Name: Thomas Atkinson
New Name: Joe Timms

In that case, if you just enter Joe Timms, the resulting name might be Joe Timmskinson

If you enter Joe, Timms - the comma tells the system to clear everything after it, and you get the right name
