LLDP-MED ERS4500

Hi,

Does anyone know if Nortel will support in the near future the LLDP-MED on the ERS 4500 Series?

I'm currently waiting to test v5.1 software for the ERS4500 series. I have a ERS 4548GT-PWR but unfortunately it only came with v5.0 software. I know that v5.1 adds support for ADAC/LLDP (release notes) but I don't know if it supports LLDP-MED.

Once I've completed my testing I'll post the results here.

I know that the Ethernet Switch 470-48T-PWR does NOT currently support LLDP-MED (as of v3.7.2). I believe the only switch that supports LLDP-MED is the ERS5500 series (v5.x) and perhaps the ERS8300.

The 4550 5.1 does not support lldp-med. I know for sure!

Here's the information I received from Nortel.

The requested feature will be available in release 5.2 which is scheduled for release sometime before the end of the calendar year.

Here are some of the other features that are planned for 5.2;

- Disable USB & Cnosole port commands
- Extended password history
- Diagnostics AUR (DAUR)
- SNMP Traps for RSTP events
- ACG completeness with RSTP/MSTP & LLDP support
