We have four users using the LJ1220 All in one. One of our users has found that it takes 90 seconds to bring up the HP Scanjet Control Viewer on his LJ1220 when he initializes scanning either by using the button on the scanner or the HP LaserJet director.
He uses Windows XP with Service Pack 1 on a P4 1.70ghz. His hard drive has 8gb free space available.
We checked another user’s 1220 and found that his scanner takes 10 seconds to start.
Both users are using the same version of the ScanJet Control Viewer – 6.00.001.000
The user says had the same problem when using Win2K and had installed new drivers when he switched to XP.
Any explanation for this difference? How do we resolve it?
