I just got this unit in the shop today, fairly new, about 4000 pgs. User gets this error, but I dont know the printing situation. In reading posts on the IRC site, most have said the error comes up when using Crystal Reports.
A "fix" is to use PCL5e and roll back the firmware to ver.4.042.0 instead of ver. 04.047.2 and install a NIC.
Turning off unused protocals,is mentioned also.
I am thinking that a mis-match of hardware used in the network could really be the culprit. Traffic slowdowns, glitches, too fast/too slow through-put could be it.
I have one on a simple network off my workstation on the bench, and so far, no error.I'll try different apps to see what happens. then hook it up to our network for others to try.
