LJ 5500 slow - would memory help

We have a LJ 5500 Color printer that gets very slow when printing large documents, particularly PDF's. It has 96 Megs memory. Would adding additional memory help?

PDF's are large, and if not using a postscript driver can take a while to be converted. Use the PS driver, or break up the job into smaller runs.
