Hello

Does anyone know which DirectX Object has to be used to control and view the video filmed live with a digicam conected via firewire? I know there are xtras avaliable (i.e. from Penworks), but for just one project - a little bit to expensive. I'm quite sure that it must work with DirectX, but...

Thanks for your help!

hmm, check the DirectX forum, and be ready for some real fun. It is rather complex to set up, uses pins and filters and all kinds of stuff, and you will need Visual Basic/C++/C# to write an active X control to put in your Director projector. The section of DirectX you want is DirectShow I think.

There might be an ActiveX control out there to do it for free so I would look there first.
