Livelink migration/upgrade from 9.7.0 to CS 10

Hello,

We are trying to migrate from current LL version 9.7.0 to version LL CS10.
Our environment is heavilty dependent on a number of customized workflows done in version 9.7.0, the details of which have not been documented by the developers.
The requirement is to migrate the entire database to CS10 over a single weekend, so as not to impact the business uers.
Is there a checklist or best practices to do this. Any hints/links appreciated.

Any serious livelink migration will have to be done at least 3 times so your production run is more under your control.
When the 9.7.1 to CS10 upgrade happens what initially happens is the 9.7.1 live database is worked on by
CS10 code as in database additions,deletions,schema checks and balances.On top of it if there is lot of data then that also
will take some time.

I did a 9.1.3 instance(very old) in less than 4 hrs time on the prod outage.It was a huge instance and I must say I must have spent
basically 3 months testing every aspect to the upgrade.Workflows are not your problem.Running instances and maps will work but

The usual motto for a livelink upgrade is
Test
Then Test
Then Test
and then Test again and then Test again

Sorry shortcuts will get you in trouble.
Several case studies /checklist available in the KB.Many of them are common sense things any admin will know to do.

Would be able to point me to some good links for such studies/checklists to migrate from 9.7.0 to CS10? I am new to LiveLink, and have been made to understand that 9.7.0 has to be first migrated to 9.7.1 and only then upgrade to CS 10 is possible.

ask as many questions there as possible

Get a good dev env with as many modules you have in prod now and try and try again

You or your company needs to be a active contract with OT.For non paying customers this info is not public.
