Hi AppNair & Greg,

I have been following your posts regarding livelink to solve issues I face while development.
I have basic knowledge of livelink 9.7.1 and content server 10 and have developed few application using Oscript.
To move ahead with the experience I want to work more on workflows and agents so I need your guidance.
Could you please help me get any material on these topics as well as how can I enroll myself for the livelink trainings.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regads,

For trainings go to opentext.com and apply for it.Most training unless you get trained by experts is going to be something that a trainer is imparting with really no actual knowledge of how to apply it in the real world. In my case I did not know anything nor did I have training. So I spent countless hours doing self research, helping out people taking time to reply so I could understand the product more.Greg had started before me and we kind of partnered into the lapi code sharing stuff. When we started greg's website had more meaningful material and more traffic than OT.
The beauty of oscript is that it shows you how everything works in livelink, nothing is hidden from you except certain things that OT know if shared people will make bad code out of it.Because you are coding in that tightly controlled environment it is not easy to produce code that breaks performance ,memory leaks etc .Frankly learn oscript from an expert like Howard Pell of OT who has extreme knowledge of programming languages, lots of experience with livelink and a general all round knowledge of business processes. The more you work as an admin/power user of livelink helping people with their problems you will slowly start realizing the benefits and you will gain more and more knowledge.Don't just stop there thinking that you know everything.I still look at stuff in builder, webservices, lapi etc and I am amazed at how little I know. Many of our blogs websites have lots of good info a few links

oscriptadventures.com(My friend Ossie)
communities.opentext.com

there area lot of other places as well which I may not know.

Go into OT KB discussions and see the doyens of oscript reply .The list is endless but here are a few favorites

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

There is some documentation with the OScript Builder on Workflow Event Scripts, along with the OpenText course - For Agents you can start with the example on the OTDN at
