Livelink Explorer Auto-Synchronizations

If I understand correctly, only items in where version(s) have been added are synchronized/copied to local drive. At least that is how 4.4 use to work and what is mentioned in the Help Menu.
Now that we have upgraded to Livelink Explorer 4.6, items in where Category/attribute fields have been modified are being synchronized/copied over to local drive. DOes anyone have any information on this? Much appreciated.
