Hi

We are using Livelink 9.1 sp3 and Livelink explorere 4.3.3

We have directory services installed and single sign on work
fine with the web interface

However when we try to connect livelink explorer to the server we use the
We select NTLM for Directory services authentication
The username and password is greyed out

But it takes more than 5 mins to verify the connection which is extremely slow. Once this connection is added, it also takes a long time when selecting that livelink server node.

Any help why there is such a big delay

Many Thanks

We're using almost the same configuration (as I remember... sorry, I don't have exact versions in front of me) on a Frech Livelink and for most transfers with 1 or 2 file, it is relatively fast (for Livelink). What you could try is to use a packet sniffer (also known as Protocol Analyzer) and try to figure out communications with the server and where the bottleneck is.

Her is the link to a really goo and free packet sniffer called Ethereal:

I hope this could help a little bit...
