We are at the moment experiencing Livelink performance isues. We have our EFS stored on an HP SAN , but looks like it is having read problems.

If we moved the EFS into our Oracle 10g database , would it improve on the performance?

Actually it should be the other way around.OT benchmarks put external file store performance as 300 % better than internal(blob) storage. To understand performance issues you need to collect timing logs over a period of time and look at the logs usng performance analyzer or a similar tool.OT professional services do performance analyzis or you could engage excellent ex ot people like Benjamin Shapiro ( at performance logs if you did not even have a baseline performance analyzis could be quite challenging that is the only reason why I said to have one done by a competent source.Once you have the base line report you can then understand where the system is lacking(web, database or network).I hope that helps and gives you some more insight.General speed issueses are usually thread starvation, unwanted permissions and a host of poorly man made decisions.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
