no the standard way of legacy decommissioning is to use the product called object importer.it expects you to plug in values like this a very rudimentary example
Code:
Syntax is wrong just for display it follows psuedo xml like
<Node object="document" action="create">
<livelink metadata firstone="I got this from oracle">
<livelink metadata secondone="I got this from oracle">
<livelink metadata thirdone="I got this from oracle">
</node>
As you can see you can write a simple ascii file that is called the control file using Oracle using the syntax that livelink expect(note the example I have given is not what it looks like).If you put it into the "watched folder" of the livelink server it will process the file and create the object with associated metdaata.
The whole premise about CLM is there are two new subtypes being introduced called the Binder and the Contract.Inside those goes documents,folders etc.What I said was you are not able to create "Binder" or "Contract" with OI but you can do the documents and metadata with it.
Hope I am not making it worse.I also found that if you need I could use plain old lapi to do the contract file and the binder subtype also that would require you to have a C#,C++,Java or VB programmer to operate on lapi code.OI is very simple way of doing a lot of things in livelink.A littel bit of scripting is all you need to know.
Resaerch OI if you can it is not a free LL module
Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
