anybody done this? (im not actually stuck on using flash, i just have no clue where to start)

there seems to be hosting companies who specialize in this and tend to be pricey. i only need (for the time being) to do a ONE TIME broadcast. so it seems strange to have to sign up with a host and pay monthly fees etc.

im looking for cheapest, most trouble-free way to do this. any suggestions from experienced persons greatly appreciated.

thanks!

thanks for that.

so i need a server running flash communication server mx, right? any advice on hosting?

i assume when they talk about simultaneous connections that number, (in the case of live video) would represent the maximum size of the audience?
