Hello,
i work on the presentation in Powerpoint. I must include live video window in this application. And there is a problem. On Win98 and ATI TV ISA card, it works very good - in powerpoint I just select region with magenta keycolor, open my VB preview application (based on avicap32.dll) and voila - live video is in powerpoint.
On win2000 or XP and with PCI cards, this approach don't work and I can't get nothing. It works only with Pinnacle Vision and PCTV card, but the problem is that position of the window can't be saved.
There is also an application called TVideoGrabber from DataStead Software, that can do that. It has one checkbox "Transparent", and when you check it, the video window is overlayed onto Powerpoint.
So, can you give me some direction how to do it? Is there any Sendmessage command for avicap to set keycolor or transparency? Or is Directdraw the right thing?
Shortly: I must write an application that just preview video input on another application, using key colour.
