Live Update installs new virus defs but date doesn't change

Going to allowed me to use "Intelligent Updater(IU)" (vs. Live Update(LU)).
IU downloaded the latest defs. and now everything is fine.
Guess I won't have to purchase SystemWorks2005 (as Symantec implies when you go their "Help" site)!!
