But I just spent about 3 hours fighting some fiber/gbic issues, and if I would have just had a fiber light, I know I would have saved a ton of time. Quick search found this...has anyone else seen or tried it?

Bad gbic and my own stupidity. But I still had to rule out the fiber, so had the guys come in with the tester.

These are sweet Dalt! Kind of a must have! The longer the fiber they will test out the more they tend to cost! Also, some models only work with yellow or orange ETC. We have these in the Navy and they used them when I was in class for the ETA FOI! Well worth the money but I think I am preaching to the choir at this point.. LoL

Yeah, I'm about ready to order one, just had kind of a bad feeling about the site earlier, so didn't jump on the purchase yet.

That's perfect...

You know.. some CISCO equipment can test pinouts remotely! If you want I may be able to dig up the article on this.. (I only have like 2600 CISCO bookmarks.. LoL) I wonder if they have the capability to test fiber via timing mechanisms etc. Probably not as I don't believe there would be any NEXT et. al.

I've checked on the fiber thing, and haven't found anything yet. I know the 3750 gigabit switch can do the copper tdr, but not the 10/100 switch.

That one really disappointed me.
