I have a dec alpha running on tru64 unix version 5.1V

Is there a way to get a listing of the patches already installed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mrjazz

Thanks for the information.

I have gone through it. But I could not find anywhere it serves my qustion as to getting a list of patches installed. It expalains very well of instaling a patch.

I like to have your view on this if possible please.

Thanks.

Hi again,

isn't section 2.5 exactly what you're looking for?
Also section C gives you the dupatch man page with a couple of more examples.

Or did I misunderstand your question? [sad]

Regards

mrjazz

Hi Mr Jazz,

Yes, Thanks. The section 2.5 explains dupatch command.
I dont have the dupatch on my machine.
Does it mean that I dont have any patches installed.?

Also I like install patches required for V5.1.
Do you have any idea of the name of these patches or any number associated with it.

Please note

1)In my /var/adm/patches, I have only one directory which is log. That is also empty

2)dupatch is not in /usr/sbin directory.

3)Doesnt this command come with the patches itselves.

My aim is to install patches that is required for V5.1
Would you please guide me through.

Very many thanks for your time.
