Hello, Brand new at this and keyword is down for the time being, so if I'm duplicating, please excuse me.

I've got a home based business web site through tripod and need to get it listed in search engines.

I've submitted it through tripod and submitIt.com and submitIt.com says I'm listed, however when searching using common key words, my site does not come up.

A friend tells me that tripod puts a small frame on each page, however it's not enough for any search engine to reject.

Any suggestions would be helpful, I'm trying to get a home based business off the ground.

Cheers!
Karen

how long ago was the site listed? it may takes months to show up in the engines.

remember that content in your site is as or most important then anything. if you ahve text in the form of keywords in your body contetn this will make your listing turn up on engines besides the keyword tag.

also reference the FAQ by wullie in this forum for more information on this ---------------------------------------
{ str = "sleep is good for you. sleep gives you the energy you need to function";
ptr = /sleep/gi;Nstr = str.replace(ptr,"coffee");alert(Nstr); }
