Hello,

Is there a command that lists the cores contained within a physical CPU in HP-UX11.23?

The below says 2 CPUs, is this one physical with 2 cores?

machinfo |more
CPU info:
Number of CPUs = 2
Clock speed = 1600 MHz
Bus speed = 533 MT/s
CPUID registers
vendor information = "GenuineIntel"
processor serial number = 0x0000000000000000
processor version info = 0x000000001f020204
architecture revision: 0
processor family: 31 Intel(R) Itanium 2 Family Processors
processor model: 2 Intel(R) Itanium 2 processor
processor revision: 2 Stepping A2
largest CPUID reg: 4
processor capabilities = 0x0000000000000001
implements long branch: 1
Bus features
implemented = 0xbdf0000060000000
selected = 0x0000000040000000

I suspect it is 2 physical. On a similar vintage system (an rx8640) I get this output which specifically mentions the number of sockets and cores:

Code:
# machinfo
CPU info:
   Number of CPUs = 8
   Number of enabled CPUs = 8
   Number of enabled sockets = 4
   Cores per socket = 2
   Clock speed = 1598 MHz
   Bus speed   = 533 MT/s
   CPUID registers
      vendor information =       "GenuineIntel"
      processor serial number =  0x0000000000000000
      processor version info =   0x0000000020000704
         architecture revision:       0
         processor family:           32   Intel(R) Itanium 2 9000 series
         processor model:             0   Intel(R) Itanium 2 9000 series
   Bus features
      implemented =  0xbdf0000020000000
      selected    =  0x0020000000000000
         Exclusive Bus Cache Line Replacement Enabled
         processor revision:          7   Stepping C2
         largest CPUID reg:           4
      processor capabilities =   0x0000000000000005
                      implements long branch:  1
        implements 16-byte atomic operations:  1

What type of system is that?
