listindex not recognised in query

Hows it going

i have a form with two combos and one list box all with 2 column (bound column = 2) an index in column 1 and name etc in col 2. straight forward enough, i thought, but when i use [forms]![frmFormName]![comboName].listindex in the criteria box it draws a blank query. where am i going wrong?

The listindex property returns the number of an item selected in a Combo Box or List Box. Have you tried...

[forms]![frmFormName]![comboName]

as your criteria???
